In April 2010 my daughter Allison and I recorded some hymn arrangements and classical pieces for flute and piano.
In April 2012 my son Neal and I recorded classical pieces for euphonium and piano.
In June 2014 I recorded the Brahms’ Intermezzo in A at my mentor’s piano studio.
Listen and enjoy!
Brahms
The Intermezzo in A by Johannes Brahms is one of the most beloved works in piano repertoire, and has been recorded by many concert pianists through the years. It is lyrical and emotional, at once seemingly simple yet intricate.
Morceau
Written by French organist and composer, Félix-Alexandre Guilmant, Morceau Symphonique is a two-movement piece originally written for trombone but often played on the more mellow brass instrument, the euphonium, which this particular performance features.
Faure
Written by the French composer, Gabriel Faure, Sicilienne is a hauntingly beautiful work. One of Faure’s most popular compositions, Sicilienne has been arranged for solo piano, piano duet, as well as many other instruments.
Traditional
Be Thou My Vision is a traditional Irish folk song. This specific arrangement is from the book Celtic Praise published by the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team, arranged by Kristin Campbell and adapted by Rebekah Snyder.
